May 4, 2011, ASP Headerquarter, Hangzhou. With the completion of its 360,000sqft factory site, ASP has entered a new stage of its quest to build the low cost, high efficiency, high stability CdTe thin-film solar panel.
For the past 3 years, ASP kept its head down and put all its strength and energy to develop the first ever fully automated production line for the CdTe thin-film solar panel. The undiverted concentration and effort has finally paid off. In November 2010, tested and certified by NREL USA, a 6-inch by 6-inch solar module built by ASP reached a conversion efficiency of 12.5%. This mark was officially recorded by the world’s most authoritative record sheet of solar energy conversion efficiency. And this mark is also one of several key factors to not onlhy take ASP into the leading seat in CdTe thin-file solar panel research and production field in China, but also make it a member of world elite club who is able to apply its proprietary technology in the real-life production.
According to the plan and relentless effort, the very first production line of ASP will complete its assembly within 4 months. By achieving that, ASP will soon be able to manufacture panels in volumn.
